Most inconsistent results come from camera movement, low light, heavy occlusion, or a floor area that does not match the camera view. Start with a stable elevated frame and a short representative clip.

Start a reliable analysis
- Use a stable view that clearly shows the entrance or area of interest.
- Create or select the matching camera profile.
- Draw entry, exit, or checkout areas where movement actually crosses.
- Run People Flow first, then review setup notes in the report.
Results look too low or too high
Counts are estimates. Check lighting, camera stability, occlusion, area placement, and whether the same camera profile is used. A wider, elevated view usually produces more consistent operational comparisons.
Video or camera access
Open iOS or iPadOS Settings, choose StoreMeter, and allow Camera or Photos access for the feature you want. StoreMeter processes selected media on your device and does not upload it to Pixlane.
Browser playground cannot open a clip
Use a browser-readable MP4, MOV, or WebM file below 1 GB. If a MOV file does not open, export an H.264 MP4 and try again. Keep the tab active during a scan, especially on mobile devices.
Background analysis
Keep the device charged when possible. Low Power Mode, thermal conditions, or force-quitting the app can pause background work. Reopen StoreMeter to resume or inspect the queue.
Premium purchase or restore
Open Settings in StoreMeter and choose Restore Purchases. Confirm that the device uses the Apple Account that bought the subscription. Manage or cancel plans in Apple Account settings.
Delete local data
Delete individual analyses from Reports or use the reset option in StoreMeter Settings. Uninstalling the app removes its local container. Source videos remain in your photo library until you delete them there.
Privacy and lawful use
StoreMeter does not perform identity recognition, face matching, or biometric identification. Aggregate operational estimates are not facts about an individual. You are responsible for lawful camera use and any notice or consent required in your location.
