The short version: StoreMeter analyzes selected store footage on your iPhone, iPad, or locally in the browser playground. Pixlane does not receive your video, camera frames, analysis results, face images, advertising identifiers, or app usage history. Optional website analytics is loaded only after you choose “Allow analytics” and never includes a playground video or app analysis. StoreMeter does not perform identity recognition or face matching.

1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the StoreMeter iOS and iPadOS application, the StoreMeter website, and the browser playground, all published by Pixlane. Privacy questions can be sent tosupport@pixlane.media.
2. Browser playground
When you choose a video in the playground, the browser creates a temporary local file URL and reads sampled frames in the current tab. The selected video and generated scene field are not uploaded to Pixlane. Refreshing or closing the tab clears that temporary processing state.
The website may download versioned processing files needed to run a verified browser analysis. Those downloads do not contain your video. StoreMeter does not use playground clips for model training.
3. Information the app processes
When you choose to use a feature, StoreMeter may process locally:
- Video files selected from the photo library and frames supplied by the camera.
- Movement tracks, entry and exit events, heatmap points, busy zones, and checkout-wait estimates.
- Optional anonymous, aggregate store-level profile and mood estimates.
- Camera profile names, areas you draw, analysis settings, entitlement state, and generated reports.
These are operational estimates and can be incomplete or inaccurate. StoreMeter does not create a customer identity record.
4. Face-related processing
Some optional aggregate insight features may transiently locate visible face regions on-device to estimate broad, anonymous trends. StoreMeter does not perform identity recognition, face matching, biometric identification, or authentication. It does not build or store a face template, face embedding, or named profile.
5. What leaves your device
Store footage, camera frames, analysis results, reference images, reports, and app preferences are not uploaded to Pixlane. The StoreMeter app does not include an advertising SDK, cross-app tracker, third-party behavioral analytics SDK, or Pixlane account system.
Your device may communicate with Apple for App Store downloads, subscriptions, entitlement checks, review prompts, and diagnostic services you choose to share with Apple. Apple handles that information under itsPrivacy Policy.
6. Optional website analytics and hosting data
Google Analytics
StoreMeter uses Google Analytics 4 on this website only when you actively choose “Allow analytics.” Before that choice, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no analytics request is sent by StoreMeter. If you allow analytics, Google may process information such as the page URL, referrer, browser and device characteristics, approximate location derived from an IP address, and website interactions. We disable Google advertising signals and ad personalization in the website configuration.
Analytics never receives a video selected in the playground, camera frames, app reports, or on-device StoreMeter analysis. Google processes permitted website analytics as our service provider under its Privacy Policy.
Your choice
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it. Use the “Analytics choices” control at the bottom of the website to change your decision. Choosing “Continue without” prevents future loading and removes StoreMeter's current first-party Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits it.
Hosting and security
As with most websites, the hosting and network provider may process technical request information such as IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp, and security events to deliver and protect the site. That information is not combined with a StoreMeter account because the site does not require one.
7. Permissions
- Camera: used only when you choose a live preview or camera-based analysis.
- Photo library: used to access store videos you explicitly select.
- Notifications: optional, for progress or reminders you enable.
- Background processing: used when the operating system permits an analysis to continue.
You can change app permissions at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
8. Storage, retention, and deletion
Saved analyses, report artifacts, camera profiles, settings, and related reference images are stored inside the app's local container. StoreMeter keeps local results until you delete them, use the in-app reset, or uninstall the app. Device backups may contain app data according to your Apple backup settings.
9. Subscriptions
Optional monthly and annual subscriptions use Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment details and manages the subscription. StoreMeter reads the entitlement needed to unlock features; Pixlane does not operate a separate StoreMeter payment server.
11. Lawful use and security
StoreMeter is a business operations tool. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and providing any notice or consent required before recording or analyzing a location. On-device processing reduces network exposure, but security also depends on your device, operating-system updates, backups, and how reports are shared.
12. Changes, contact, and terms
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised for material updates. Contact support@pixlane.media.
